TROUBLE IN THE JUNGLE

On Thursday 5th of December, the children in  1st, 2nd and 3rd level  had a  storyteller session in English.
The title was  "TROUBLE IN THE JUNGLE" and they participated with the actors answering the questions and singing the songs that they had prepared with their teachers in the class.

It's Halloween Time.

In the English Class  the pupils did many activities to celebrate this date. The older pupils (5th and 6th level) made their own crafts to decorate the classroom.

HELLO!

Children in 3rd level are studying the animals. they are making one wild animal with a toilet paper roll. Soon you're going to see their exhibition.

ANIMALS

BOOK DAY 2013

We did many activities: Animal bookmarks, worksheets and we listened a funny song.

Pupìls of the sixth level are going to read the chapter one of The Little  Prince in English at the reading time, because this is one of the activities of the library for all the school (in Spanish). Then they are going to complete a worksheet about Saint -Exupéry's life and a wordsearch with words about the book.

This activity is made for me with information  that I found at the web.

Antoine de Saint-Exupéry: A Real-Life Hero

Antoine de Saint-Exupéry is the author and illustrator of one of the most well-known children's novels in the world: The Little Prince. What fans of the book may not know is that he ______ (Be) also a real-life hero and pilot! Born in Lyons, France in 1900, Antoine-Marie-Roger de Saint-Exupéry's family _______ (Be) filled with nobility. He ______(Be) one of five children. His father, Viscount Jean de Saint-Exupery, ______(Be)  an executive with an insurance company who ______(die)  when the author ______(Be) very young. It is a story about a pilot who has crashed in the desert and the little prince from another planet who tells the pilot of his adventures on Earth. His plane ______(Disappear) into the Mediterranean Sea. Over the years, various people claim to have found artifacts and wreckage, but none have been verified. CARNIVAL 2013

CARNIVAL

On 8th February we celebrated our Carnival going out to the street with costumes of animals. So in our photos you can see ladybirds, bees, cows, rats, horses and owls in a great parade by Castrelos Avenue. Then at school we burned our "Meco Pilarico" and we enjoyed eating typical food in this time.

In the English class we did many activities like in the other special ocassions.

Peace Day 2013

PEACE DAY
On  30th January we celebrated THE SCHOOL PEACE DAY. We did different activities in all languages. In English we decorated the class with sentences and pictures about Peace. Pupils did  worksheets with wordsearches and other activities and sang songs about this topic. They listened to the songs to complete the gaps in the worksheet  that I prepared for them.
